Thank you so much for the beautiful DVD. I love the interactive menus. Watching the movie trough the chapter menu adds so much to the journey. If you re-package it, make that recommendation!
I'm from Norfolk, Virginia, USA. We had an absolutely amazing tyme during my first trip to the U.K. I got to play my little travel size djembe drum the center of Stonehenge, at Avebury, on Glastonbury Tor, even on top of The Wallace Monument and through the Clava Cairns, and more. I can't wait for my return trip to Southern England in March. I'd love for you to meet our group for coffee/ale if you would. We're a gaggle of fun, laughing people. I'm on facebook as Hex Keith Nottingham, look me up! If you like I can also add you to our event wall Magickal England Pilgrimage so that you can see if there will be a convenient stop for you. Cheers!

ps. Either the captcha doesn't work, or you just got ten duplicate emails from me, mate.

Hi Michael,
Sorry to jump on the bandwagon here, but I, too, have been trawling the internet looking for a physical disc! Unfortunately I can't run Region 1 DVDs on my machine, but I'd also love a copy without its display case, if that is possible? If so, how can I go about arranging it?
Many thanks

Hi Michael,
I would really like one of the UK format DVDs if that's possible - display cases can be found.
What do we need to do to arrange that?
Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve

Yes there is every chance. The film was originally released on DVD and normally I would have stock but our UK distributor lost ours in the fire at the Sony warehouse last year. We lost that distributor and have not been able to find a good one prepared to invest in manufacturing a run since. I cannot afford to do so myself.

If you have a DVD player capable of running region 1 DVDs from the USA then you will find imports from the US distributor on Amazon.co.uk. However, I also have an number of DVDs here that are UK format - but they don't have a display case. If you would like one of these, please let me know. The other advantage of having the DVD of course, is that you have a really well indexed menu system and all the extras - outtakes, unseen footage, interview, original pilot, etc..

All the best ...

Is there any chance of a physical disc?

Sorry, would love to buy it but I detest downloads (I must have spent too many years working in IT)

I believe they served a utilitarian purpose and this is why their popularity spread throughout the world for thousands of years. When viewed from a stand point of arched trajectory. Catapults and powerful bows would have launched deadly weapons perhaps with flammable bitumen resins to create a deadly force that warranted such effort. Like later fortress with toothed buttresses from which to launch retaliatory artillery from relative safety. The dot waterways all along ancient trade routes. They were also navigation and time keeping devices. It was a brilliant design. Their form was related to function and this was the cause of their wide spread use across space and time. A more detailed discussion can be found at the following web page. Do me a favor and contact me before you produce your next documentary :) Best wishes, Teres https://sites.google.com/site/ancienttrenches/home

Hi Brian

Truly, I am not attached to one theory or the other. I'm just the messenger here. Although we attached the human transportation theory to the film, if it can be shown without doubt that this cannot have been the case, we will just have to live with the fact that we made an error.

I am not an archaeologist or academic of any kind - nor have I made a great study of the subject so like so many laymen I rely on that which filters down to me via the media or that which I find on the web. Is it possible that the 'human transportation' advocates have made a better stab at PR? I know that human beings generally prefer a more 'romantic' solution to enigmas such as this and maybe I fall into that trap. However, there are clearly impassioned arguments on both sides and as an outsider, I can only assume that each side has sound reason to believe what they believe - given that they are not idiots in the first place.

This site does not have a large amount of traffic but if you would like to write a post or can suggest an extant article from 'Stonehenge Thoughts' to in go here then you are very welcome.
